In 2021, three small Caribbean American nonprofits (NCARW Partners) began a campaign to promote an annual National Caribbean American Restaurant Week (NCARW) celebration as a part of the celebration of National Caribbean American Heritage Month. These Partners include the National Caribbean American Food & Foodways Alliance @ncaffa.org, The Institute of Caribbean Studies @ics.org (caribbeanamericanmonth.com), and Deh Abroad Village (caribbeanrestaurantweek.us).
In 2023, ICS added a companion virtual program, Meet the Chefs (MTC), to feature selected Caribbean American chef demonstrations/talks to highlight individual chefs contributions to the American table.

Deh Abroad, established in 2020, is a free information portal to an inventory of Caribbean diaspora businesses. Deh Abroad originated and manages the Nationwide City/State Directory of Caribbean restaurants at caribbeanrestaurantweek.us
